3. Gel Jars
You no longer have to spend a single dime on the gel jars despite their sensational smell. You can make one yourself at home quickly and easily, with some scent-free gelatin.
First, fill a clean jar up with 30 drops (more or less) of your dearest essential oil and then add some food coloring.
Then, dissolve the gelatin powder in a bowl of hot water and pour the solution into the jar once it’s ready. The brew needs to harden, so let it sit overnight.
You’ll be thanking yourself for the freshness and the divine smell that you brought in the house.
4. Reed Diffuser
Making one yourself is actually easier than you might think it is. All you need is your favorite essential oil, some bamboo skewers, and a small vase.
Fill the jar up with as much oil as you want and fill the rest up using baby oil. The bamboo skewers are going to absorb the solution right up and leave a great, refreshing smell.
5. Baking Soda Air Freshener
This is a straightforward and totally awesome DIY recipe for the musty rooms that need a little extra help revitalizing, like basements or bathrooms.
First, pour ½ a cup of baking soda into a mason jar and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil inside. Use a cardboard with holes cut out or a piece of paper to top the jar.
While baking soda absorbs all the unpleasant smells, the essential oils leave the room smelling wonderful.
